Board of Trustees
Our Board of Trustees offers SAS a long-term perspective – one that charts and maintains the course of our school. They oversee policy and have a fiduciary responsibility to provide sound financial management of the school. And they select and support our Head of School, James Nelligan.
There are up to fifteen (15) Trustees: seven (7) are elected by SAS parents; seven (7) are appointed by the Board; one (1) is appointed by the U.S. Consulate General. Trustees elected by SAS parents must also be parents of SAS students themselves. The Board represents both Pudong and Puxi campuses, which allows for consistent leadership across SAS.
Parents are welcomed and encouraged to get involved with the Board and help to make a positive difference at SAS by joining one of the Board committees.
